GPS Tracking A 3 Peaks Challenge AND a 100KM Ultra

GPS Tracking A 3 Peaks Challenge AND a 100KM Ultra

Our GPS Tracking Team have been very occupied this week, preparing for the busiest few days of the year (so far) on our 2022 GPS Tracking calendar.

Starting next Thursday evening and running all the way through to Saturday night, we will be tracking The Railway Children 3 Peaks By Rail Challenge as 40 teams of brave challengers take on Snowdon, Scafell Pike and Ben Nevis; the 3 highest peaks across the UK.
On Saturday morning, while the 3 Peaks By Rail Challenge is still ongoing, the Positive Steps Norfolk 100KM Ultra will also go live with our team concurrently providing tracking support for both events.

In addition to providing the route mapping, tracking devices and mobile phone systems. One of our team will be consistently monitoring everything to assist the organisers in making sure that everyone is safe and well. We'll also be providing 24 hour technical support to ensure that the systems and equipment retain their 24/7 uptime while the events are in progress.

The Railway Children 3 Peaks by Rail

At 5pm on Thursday 9th June, a group of more than 140 brave and hardy challengers will be checking in at Crewe Railway Station as they prepare to take on the highest 3 peaks in Wales, England and Scotland.

Working together in teams, our challengers will first take the train to Bangor, where they will then alight and take an overnight trek up to the summit of Snowdon into the early hours of Friday morning. They will then board the train and travel straight to Ravenglass in Cumbria before taking on Scafell Pike throughout the day.

Once the English peak has been defeated, it will be back to the train again to travel North, heading into Scotland to arrive at Fort William in the early hours of Saturday morning, where they'll then take on the final 1325 Metre climb to the peak of Ben Nevis.

We wish the very best of luck to everyone undertaking this amazing challenge and look forward to watching all your progress!

The Norfolk 100KM

Back again for it's 8th Year, the Norfolk 100KM is an Ultra Marathon, starting in the delightful Castle Acre and heading North along the legendary Peddars Way before heading in an Easterly direction to follow the Norfolk Coastal Path to Beeston Regis, just West of Cromer.

With more than 50 challengers taking part in this fantastic event, we're really looking forward to seeing how everybody does as they take on this arduous challenge through the beautiful Norfolk Countryside.

The very best of luck to everyone involved and we look forward to watching you go!
