A Fantastic Weekend!

A Fantastic Weekend!

Last weekend saw us taking on one of our busiest weekends of the year with our team supporting a total of six events all over the country. Our Timing Crews were out in force, providing our chip timing services for four different running events in London, West Suffolk, North Essex and Cambridgeshire. Meanwhile, our GPS Tracking Team were providing remote technical support for two events that spanned North Norfolk, Cumbria, North Wales and Scotland.

A massive well done to everyone who took part in any of these events over the weekend! We're very proud to have been part of your achievements!

RACE TIMING EVENTS

THE TOTTENHAM TEN

Saturday saw one of our Timing Crews heading into the East End of London to provide timing services for the Tottenham Ten.
The Tottenham Ten is A 10K run that helps to raise money for The Engine Room , a new community facility comprised of a church, a community centre, a café and a nursery all in one location in the heart of Hale Village.
75 enthusiastic challengers turned out nice and early to enjoy two laps of Tottenham Marshes, starting and finishing in Perkyn Square.

Sunday also saw The Sutton Beast return for it's 22nd year.

An awesome 10K event with it's origins steeped in legend saw almost 200 fantastic entrants, of all ages, coming out to test their mettle on this fantastic multi-terrrain course.

A great effort by everyone involved, especially the younger athletes among the crowd. Well done!

THE BOXTED 10K

Another of our events last Sunday (that really was a busy day for us!) was the Boxted 10K

The Boxted 10K is a 10K, 5K and 2K fun run held in the beautiful area of Dedham Vale in North Essex. The race starts and finishes at the primary school in the delightful village of Boxted and it's course wends it's way around most of the scenic village to take in some of the fantastic scenery.

With more than 260 participants coming out for the morning to enjoy the event, the Boxted 10K continues to be one of the most popular events in the area.

THE NORFOLK 100K

Organised, run and fully supported by Positive Steps, the Norfolk 100KM is a well established event that starts in Castle Acre and heads North along the Peddars Way before turning right onto the Norfolk Coastal path to finish in the village of West Runton.

THE RAILWAY CHILDREN 3 PEAKS BY RAIL

The Railway Children 3 Peaks By Rail event was new to us this year, but what an amazing event to be involved with!

More than 130 athletes in more than 30 teams, braved some of the most difficult terrain in the UK to raise more than £175,000 over the course of 3 days. Taking on Snodwon, Scafell Pike and Ben Nevis and starting last Thursday night these amazing challengers have made a huge difference to the running of the charity.

Our GPS Tracking Team were available throughout to provide technical support if needed and we took great delight in watching the challengers take on these famous peaks.

We would like to thank all of the event organisers for their hard work in arranging and supporting these fantastic events as well as every one of the challengers who get involved to take part in them. We're honoured and delighted to be involved and we look forward to seeing you again soon!
