Last weekend saw the live finals of The European Championships, hosted in the magnificent Motorsport Arena in Nottingham.

More than 400 exceptional athletes attended the finals after a series of qualifiers throughout the earlier part of this year and we were delighted to be able to provide our timing services for the first day of this very challenging event.

Our timing crew were at the venue early to give plenty of time to get all of the our equipment set up, running and tested ready for Gun Time.

With the start and finish lines separated by over 50 metres, our timing system was networked together to smoothly correlate data and make sure that every athlete's time was captured while our team stayed in regular communication between the two stations to keep everything running at full capacity.

Athletes headed off in a series of waves, with 9 distinct categories that included a gruelling team event where the athletes had to carry our a stretcher run, kayak and then a final sprint for the finish line.

Individual categories were of a similar nature and no less challenging, swapping out the stretcher run for a weighted vest to provide that extra layer of difficulty to the run.

This was an amazing event to be a part of and our crew were in awe of the levels of fitness demonstrated by the participants.

We would like to thank the organisers for inviting us and offer a huge well done to everyone who took part in the event.
